BRM 5 Star Chili Recipe
Nothing says comfort like a warm, hearty bowl of chili—especially on a cold day or when you’re feeding a crowd. This recipe is one of my family’s go-to meals, packed with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and that unmistakable Cincinnati twist, thanks to Skyline Hot Sauce. It’s simple to make, delicious to share, and perfect for topping with all your favorites. I hope it brings as much warmth and joy to your table as it does to ours!
Ingredients:
● 1 onion, small dice
● 3 bell peppers (red, green, yellow), medium dice
● 3 garlic cloves, chopped
● 2 Tbsp ~ EVOO
● 2 lbs ground beef
● 28 oz. can ~ San Marzano Tomatoes (crushed or hand crushed whole)
● 2 Tbsp ~ tomato paste
● 1 32 oz box ~ beef stock
● 2 Tbsp ~ chili powder
● 2 cans ~ chili beans
● kosher salt, to taste
● fresh cracked pepper, to taste
● Skyline hot sauce, to taste
Toppings:
Add your favorite toppings. Here are mine!
● Skyline Hot Sauce (or your preferred hot sauce)
● Shredded Cheese
● Sour Cream
Procedure:
1. Over medium heat, sauté the onion, pepper, and garlic in oil in a heavy sauce-pot until tender but not browned
2. Add the ground beef to the pot and brown over high heat, breaking up the meat with a spoon as it browns
3. Once the meat is browned, add tomatoes, tomato paste, and chili powder. Stir until incorporated for about 10 minutes over medium heat
4. Add beef stock. Add a splash of hot sauce. Simmer uncovered until the chili has reduced to desired thickness, about 45-60 minutes. Stir occasionally during the cooking period.
5. Add beans 15 minutes before serving
6. Serve with fave toppings! I love shredded cheese, sour cream, and Skyline Hot Sauce. Enjoy and tag me with those 5 star chili pics! Enjoy!
